A violent brawl broke out in Iloilo City on after two men forcibly opened a parked taxi and attacked a passenger identified as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Video footage shows one of the men striking the passenger with a folding chair, triggering a physical fight that spilled onto the sidewalk and into a nearby barbershop. The confrontation escalated as both sides traded punches, kicks, and blows with chairs, with additional individuals joining the fray. Police said the groups involved had come from a bar following the final night of the Dinagyang Festival and were already intoxicated. Authorities have identified the LGBTQ+ individuals involved and are still verifying the identities of the two men. Police are now determining possible charges as the incident continues to be investigated.
